Dryad Under Haunted Tree

In Greek mythology, a dryad is a female nymph or nature spirit associated with trees. They are believed to be spirits of oak trees, as the Greek word for oak is “drys”. These spirits can take the form of beautiful young women. Dryads in modern literature are often portrayed as protectors of nature, personifying its beauty and fragility.
